Payment Policy

At Discoverabruzzowine, we keep payments simple, secure, and transparent. This Payment Policy explains the payment methods we accept, how charges are processed, and what happens if something goes wrong.

1) Accepted Payment Methods

We accept two primary payment methods:

  • PayPal

  • Credit/Debit Cards via Stripe

We do not accept cash, checks, money orders, or bank transfers unless explicitly stated at checkout.


2) PayPal Payments

How PayPal Works

When you choose PayPal at checkout:

  • You will be redirected to PayPal to log in and confirm the payment.

  • PayPal may allow payment using your PayPal balance, linked bank account, or card (depending on your PayPal settings).

  • Once the payment is approved, you will be returned to our site and your order will be submitted.

Security & Verification

  • PayPal handles your payment credentials directly.

  • We do not store your PayPal login information.

  • PayPal may place temporary holds or request verification for certain transactions. That’s between you and PayPal.

Refunds via PayPal

  • Approved refunds are sent back to the same PayPal account used for payment.

  • Refund timing depends on PayPal’s processing and your bank/card provider.


3) Stripe Payments (Credit/Debit Cards)

How Stripe Works

When you pay by card via Stripe:

  • Your card is charged securely through Stripe’s encrypted payment processing.

  • We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

  • Stripe may support additional authentication (like 3D Secure) depending on your bank.

Supported Cards

Most major cards are typically supported, such as:

  • Visa

  • Mastercard

  • American Express

  • Discover
    (Availability can vary by country and card issuer.)

Authorization Holds

Some banks place a temporary authorization hold when you place an order. This is normal and usually disappears automatically if the charge does not finalize.

Refunds via Stripe

  • Refunds go back to the original card used at checkout.

  • Refund timing depends on your bank, usually a few business days.


4) Currency

All payments are processed in the currency shown at checkout (typically USD unless your store settings display otherwise).
If your bank converts currencies, you may see a conversion fee or exchange rate adjustment from your provider.


5) Taxes & Fees

  • Any applicable taxes (if shown) will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

  • Your bank, card issuer, or PayPal may charge additional fees (international transaction fees, conversion fees, etc.). Those are not controlled by us.


6) Payment Confirmation

After a successful payment, you will receive:

  • An Order Confirmation (on-screen and/or by email)

  • A transaction record from PayPal or your card issuer (depending on payment method)

If you do not receive confirmation, check your spam folder and your payment account activity first.


7) Failed, Reversed, or Flagged Payments

A payment can fail for reasons like:

  • Incorrect billing details

  • Insufficient funds

  • Bank restrictions

  • Fraud prevention checks (PayPal/Stripe or bank-side)

If your payment fails:

  • Your order may not be completed.

  • You can retry with the same method or switch methods.

We also reserve the right to cancel or hold an order if a payment appears suspicious or cannot be verified.


8) Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you have an issue, contact us first so we can fix it fast.
Filing a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution and could lead to account restrictions.

If a chargeback is opened:

  • We may provide payment and order documentation to PayPal/Stripe and your bank.

  • Orders associated with disputed payments may be paused until the dispute is resolved.
